The Chief's Challenge

We launched The Chief’s Challenge on May 31st to challenge the citizens of Lake County to become more fit and healthy this summer.

I realized how important proper diet, exercise and maintaining the proper weight are to an individual during my recent bout with kidney failure. I’m happy to say that I’m fully recovered due to the gift of life from a kidney donor, to whom I will always be grateful.

Because of the opportunity I received to have a long and productive life: I felt that I needed to encourage my fellow residents of Lake County to embark on a mission to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle for themselves.

That’s what the Chief’s Challenge is all about. We have a contest for the greatest percentage of weight loss achieved. We are taking “Walks in the Parks” throughout the summer. In addition we are providing exercise and diet& lifestyle tips throughout the challenge. Although the registration for the weight loss competition is closed; you can still sign up to participate in any of our weekly activities and the closing event on August 30th.

Check out our website at www.chiefschallenge.net for all the details and how you can still join me in taking the challenge.

This is a challenge where everyone who participates is a winner!
