Entertainment A little romance goes a long way By Mike "Cupid" Truax Okay guys, listen up. All year long your mate has taken good care of you. Maybe you have shown your appreciation and maybe not. Either way, if you blow it on Valentine's Day, you really blew it! How about something really simple like serving her
breakfast in bed? Maybe coffee or tea along with some chocolate muffins. Oh, she's watching her waistline. Show her you are watching it too and enjoying the view. Before the big day pickup a pouch of Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie mix and a box of Swiss Miss dark chocolate hot chocolate mix. Mix one envelope of the hot chocolate with the cookie mix and the required amount of water called for in the cookie mix plus one extra tablespoon of water and follow the rest of the directions on the pouch. These are so decadent neither of you will believe that you made them. And the aroma alone is worth the effort! If she doesn't like tea how about a Mimosa? All it is is orange juice and champagne or sparkling wine. Want something more elaborate, how about having a limo pick her up at work if she works outside the home or at home if she doesn't. The limo will whisk her off to the spa that you so thoughtfully arranged for. You can have a gorgeous new dress already laid out for her at the spa. When she is done the limo will take you to her favorite eatery for a romantic dinner. She doesn't have a fave, then take her to Martini's in Valpo, the place just screams romance! Another good spot is Ursuline's Kitchen in Merrillville. Or Blue Water Bar and Grille on Portage's U.S. 12. The menus at all three have everything you need but the Viagra. A lot of the population is out of work so many need something simpler. How about the whole week before leave little Post-It notes where she will find them telling her how she is the best thing that ever happened to you. Maybe one on the bathroom scale that says "Perfect!" or "Just Right!" Have her out of the house for a while. When she gets home she will find a red ribbon with a note attached that says "Follow Me." Have it meander around the house with each stop having a cute little gift and/or a romantic note. The ribbon ends at the bathtub which you have so thoughtfully ran for her complete with luxurious bubbles. On the rim of the tub, any counters and the sink can be lined with candles. Warning - if you go with scented candles make them all the same scent from the same manufacturer. As she is soaking walk into the room in a tux and gently bathe her head to toe and tell her how you are going to dry her slowly, one inch at a time savoring the "best parts" to be tongue dried. Can't afford a tux? Just buy the clip-on bow tie and a black thong. Sure it is silly but most women love it when a guy is secure enough in his manhood to allow himself to look a little silly now and then. Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
