It’s Christmas time again.  Have ya finished your shopping (LOL)?  Have ya started your shopping?  Do you plan to do any shopping?  Well get out there and spend some money… the American economy lies in the balance. I know one thing for absolute certain… our friend Thomas is in his glory at this time of the year.  His “sport” becomes the highlight activity of the Western World.  I realize that he was done with his Christmas shopping in …. like… September, but I know that does not stop him from collecting bargains for future holidaze.  What do you have to do to get on his Christmas list?  I’m betting that his shopping “table scraps” are most people’s filets (I’m joking around, of course). I simply wanted to remind you as you’re drawn into the Holiday frenzy that American soldiers continue to die for our freedom around the globe, Americans continue to suffer in the wake of the Hurricane disasters, and Americans will sleep on our streets & go to bed hungry tonight.  I offer these sobering images for your consideration in the hope that you will find some way during this Christmas season (and throughout the year) to help those less fortunate or those making a sacrifice on our behalf.  A card, a letter, a donation, a prayer, your time… a simple gesture on your part can make a real difference to those in need.  Moreover, your offering becomes a gift to yourself as you instill meaning and personal significance to this Holiday Season.
